We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say, "It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem." Then, there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.

You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

Never be regular.
The worst enemy
to creativity is
I love being outside and being active. Whether it's taking my dog, Lucy, for a walk or going for a run, outside is my happy zone. Hiking and biking are also weekend favorites if I'm not running. My weekends and summers are usually full of projects, projects, and more projects. Whether it's a DIY, Pinterest, or a home improvement project, I'm always working on something.
Books are another passion; I read mostly fiction for pleasure. I also like my morning coffee, traveling with family, a little bit of chocolate every day, cooking (especially desserts), snow, deep sea fishing, and tiny houses. HGTV is definitely my favorite channel.
My daughter graduated college and recently moved to Austin, Texas. She's applying to vet school again this fall, so her educational journey isn't over. I've been blessed to have a family that loves learning and my daughter does too! I'm one proud mama!
Lucy, my hound dog, is my naughty chid that keeps me on my toes. We adopted her from the Humane Society here in Joplin, and I wouldn't trade her for anything. She's sassy and sweet and full of energy. She loves going to the dog park so she can run, wrestle, and get her wiggles out.
Millie was adopted in 2011. She's not fond of Lucy, but tolerates her most days. To be honest, Millie isn't fond of any dogs, cats or many people either! She needs to work on playing well with others.
